Bun B is a legendary rapper, educator, and entrepreneur best known as one half of the iconic Southern hip-hop duo UGK (Underground Kingz). With a career spanning three decades, he’s helped shape the sound and soul of Southern rap while earning critical acclaim and commercial success. 

Outside the studio, Bun is a respected voice in academia, activism, and food culture—teaching at Rice University and founding the smash-hit Trill Burgers.

Bun is now the co-owner of Merrick Studios and co-host of Unglossy.

Jeffrey is a co-fonder of Merrick Studios as well as the co-host of Unglossy and the host of Mixed and Mastered. 

He has an expansive career in the music business that spans almost 30 years. Jeffrey began his career at Wild Pitch Records in 1989 as the National Director of Rap Promotion. A chance meeting with Barry Weiss led to a position at Jive Records where he rose to VP of A&R and lent his hand – or ear – to some of our most classic Hip Hop and R&B works from acts including A Tribe Called Quest, Too Short, UGK, and more. Jeff most recently spearheaded Missy Elliot’s highly anticipated return as SVP of A&R at Atlantic Records, and is now working with new talent for his own production company.

Tom is a co-founder of Merrick Studios and co-hosts Unglossy, Pitch Lab and the Juniata Men’s Basketball Show. He was the host of the critically acclaimed podcast, The Lupe and Royce Show with Lupe Fiasco and Royce da 5’9” and known as the “regular dude.” 

Tom is a marketing, communications and podcast veteran of 25+ years and currently serves as a Partner and Chief Creative Officer for Merrick Creative, where he leads the creative team on brand strategy, content creation and design work spanning the globe for clients within the entertainment, technology, real estate, consumer products and educational space.
